So I have been thinking about how clients view photographers and their pricing. I had someone recently tell me "wow really for you to just click a button?" Being a CUSTOM photographer is WAY MORE than just "clicking a button."
We spend about an hour if not more discussing details with you to make sure you get exactly what you want out of your session. Driving to and from the session. The time we spend taking the photos, which isn't easy. We have to be looking and watching for many things. The time it takes to edit all the photos. This could take hours depending on how long the session was. If you purchase a C.D. I also have to make that C.D. and make sure all the images transfer over and in the correct format and resolution. {I like to triple check everything.} If I'm mailing the C.D. the time it takes me to get to and from the post office and stand in line to make sure your C.D. is correctly labeled and sent off. {I don't use the kiosk.} If you order prints through me it takes me time to put in the order and make sure they are cropped correctly so no important details are cut off.
Not to mention, the hours, and hours, and hours we spend perfecting our craft and studying to make our art better so you have better photos.
You are also paying for the TALENT AND SKILL of the photographer!
Please do your homework when you are looking for a photographer. Don't just decide on one because of their price. Nine times out of ten when you decide upon a $35 an hour photographer you are going to get only $35 worth of work. You get what you pay for!
